Travel with oxygen by boat

Can I take an oxygen cylinder on board?

Britanny Ferries
Customers needing medical oxygen whilst on board may still travel with us on any of our ferries, however only quantities sufficient for personal use may be carried.
Please read the following information before booking.
A maximum of 6 x 10L (aggregate water volume) cylinders may be carried in the vehicle. The cylinders must be adequately secured in the vehicle against the movement of the ship, away from sources of heat and ignition and must be shut off during the crossing. Only 1 cylinder can be taken to the public areas and used only in non-smoking areas as designated by the Captain. Passengers should contact medical.enquiries@brittanyferries.com prior to travel to discuss their needs.
